Walter Lure & The The Waldos - Crazy Kids
The last surviving member of The Heartbreakers, Lure and The Waldos have a new LP out, this being the title track.

Sarandon - Mustn't Grumble
Sarandon's Age Of Reason LP, released in 2011, is quite the thing. Packed with really short tracks and then this 5-minuter.

UkePunk - Life And The World
Sex, Pies & Austerity is the forthcoming album from our favourite Ramsbottom-based ukulele punk act.

BEAK> - Brean Down
New stuff from Geoff Barrow and his BEAK> project. Their third LP is titled >>> and who knows how that's pronounced. 'Greater than, greater than, greater than'?

Okay Champ - William Tell
From Newcastle, there's quite the buzz about these. Easy to see why.

Vukovar - Dead Pressed Flowers
Makers of two of my favourite albums of last year, here's one from the new one Infinitum.

Linda Em - Wild Fire
The first of three tracks with a very country vibe. In fact, why don't I play them all back-to-back?
First, London-based Irish singer Linda Em with a track from the EP London Irish which is out in autumn.

Jessica's Brother - Humdinger
Also from London, though featuring Jonny Huddersfield Helm on drums, come Jessica's Brother with a track from the self-titled debut.

Milk Kan - Brixton Hill Revisited
Also from London, south London, come Milk Kan and what they're calling 'drill country'. The EP The Glitch Country is available now.

Therapy? - Callow
And now for something completely different. A new track from the veteran rockers addressing the new age of anxiety taken from the forthcoming LP Cleave.

The Salient Braves - Slob
Barnsley's premier pop act with a new track, available from today.

BOO - Bella
That's the Battery Operated Orchestra to you. New single, out now.

Teleman - Cactus (Boxed In remix)
A terrific track in it's own right - that I played a few weeks back - now mixed up by Boxed In - another band I have a lot of time for - in a terrific stylee.

The Senior Service - The Contender
Off the second album King Cobra - out now on Damaged Goods - this is quite brilliantly uncategorisable.

Afghan Sand Gang - Mantra
As is this, to the ends that they themselves have coined the term 'kraut dance'. They're from Mossley and the EP Machine Music is both out now and highly recommended.

Teleman - Cactus
Castlebeat - Video Tape
More from New York, DIY goth-pop from Josh Hwang. The LP VHS came out in March.

Spray - Singing For England 2010
And as England are playing right now, here's Spray's wonderful record from the South African edition. Brilliant.

Alien Nosejob - Caffeine OD
These are from Clunes in Victoria, Australia and this comes off the 7" Death Of The Vinyl Boom. Superb.

Vulgarians - Of Humdrum Consumption
To Hull, and another band to make use of the production talents of Hookworms' MJ.

Lithics - Excuse Generator
Portland, Oregon, next. This is the lead track from the LP Mating Surfaces.

Swine Tax - Tory Water
Angry young people - and that's fair enough, I mean you've seen the state of things, right? - from Newcastle. This is off the EP This Is Not A Band.

Drahla - Twelve Divisions Of The Day
From the Come Play With Me stable, this is the Leeds outfit's new single, out on the 20th.

The Golden Age Of TV - Television
Also from Leeds and also from the CPWM stable.

Star Rover - Method Actor
The fourth single taken from the self-titled LP from the Edinburgh art-rockers. Far too good to ignore.

The Autumn Stones - Mandatory Love
A new single from the Toronto band which came out last week.

Vast Asteroid - Drown
An LA band, this is off the self-titled LP that came out at the back end of last year.

Glassmaps - My Heart, My Head
New single from Joel Stein, from Brighton and recorded in Eastern Germany.

Roy - Paranoid Feeling
Another one from Toronto and yet another self-titled LP.

Ora Iso - Wicked Gain
An utterly incredible cover of the Chris Isaak record Wicked Game which is a digital only bonus track from the LP Image Certifies that came out in April. They're from New York, albeit singer Kathleen Malay arrives via Indonesia and Australia.

Kamaal Williams - High Roller
Stunning stuff from Londoner Williams plus band. The LP The Return is a rich tapestry of new jazz sounds.

Sabres Of Paradise - Lick Wid Nit Wit
A track sort of rediscovered. Previously only available on a multi-artist compilation in the late '90s, it's now had a proper release. The vinyl has sold out - unsurprising - but still very available digitally. Brilliant.

Tom Dragebo - How Long
The title track to the EP from the Norwegian producer.

PIXSID - The Sea (Boomin' Dub mix)
Australian singer Marie Craven - aka Pixieguts - collaborated with musicians and producers from all over the world in creating the album I Sand which came out in 2011. A new video for this track prompts it's inclusion this week. That and it being a calming way to end the show.

Soft Science - I Don't Know Why I Love You
The flip side of the single Undone from the Californian syndicate is a House Of Love cover.

The Golden Dregs - What A Life, What A Waste
This is the project of Falmouth's Ben Woods with the album Lafayette out on Friday on SW label Art Is Hard.

Hearts & Rockets - Psychic Powers
Formerly Heat Wave, the now rebranded Melbournians have a split 7" out with city peers Piss Factory.

Breakfast Muff - Crocodile
The title track to the EP that came out last month from these cheeky Glaswegians.

Acid Dad - Marine
A track from the self-titled LP from the New Yorkers which came out in March.

Baywaves - 1954 Egyptian Drama
From a burgeoning Madrid underground scene come Baywaves with their EP It's Been Like which came out last week.

The Lovely Eggs - Big Sea
Lancaster married couple with another single from the This Is Eggland LP.

UkePunk - Susie Dent
Ramsbottom's premier ukulele-based punk outfit and friends of the show with their new single, out now, in tribute to everyone's favourite lexicographer.

Youth Man - Statuesque
From Birmingham, this is off the EP Five Songs which contains.. err.... five songs.

Drenge - This Dance
The Loveless brothers a back after a small hiatus and after their Grand Reopening tour have put out this new single.

Slowcoaches - Found Down
New single from the London punk trio.

The Jack Cades - Identity Crisis
Old-fashioned garage rock from Elsa and Mike Whittaker from Warwick. The album Music For Children came out last Friday.

Gabe Gurnsey - Ultra Clear Sound
Half of Factory Floor with a solo record that's very different to that. The album Physical is out in August.

InfraGhosts - Phantom Pain
Melbourne's Laura Davis is InfraGhosts and this single came out in March.

The Lucid Dream - SX1000
Something a bit different from Carlisle's Lucid Dream. They've recently completed their 4th album and this is the first single from it.

Istanbul Hippodrome - Atomised
Stunning stuff from the Folkestone band about whom I'd learn more if Facebook wasn't utter turd.
Week off next week, back in a fortnight.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1600622441241343711.post-57817376830544777412018-05-14T21:47:00.000+01:002018-05-15T12:52:55.570+01:0014 May 2018A proliferation of exclamation marks this week. Apologies.

Parquet Courts - Almost Had To Start A Fight/In & Out Of Patience
Proper slacker rock off the new one Wide Awake!

Wax Chattels - In My Mouth
'Guitarless guitar rock' from Auckland trio Wax Chattels off their self-titled debut album.

WomenSaid - I Killed My Boy
Glaswegian band featuring alumni of Altered Images. This is off Majick!, out now.

Shriekback - And The Rain
Off their 14th studio album Why Anything? Why This?

RF Shannon - Tooth Ache
One of those bands that sounds like it's a person. These are from Lockhart, Texas, and this is off Trickster Blues.

Emlyn Johnson - Slippin' & Slidin'
One from last autumn that I've only just come across. Johnson is from Fremantle, Western Australia, and this off the mini-album/EP (8 tracks, probably too many for an EP) Contested Mark which came out last September.

Sara Renberg - Roger Miller Baby
Renberg is from Pittsburgh and this is off Night Sands which came out in February.

Nat Lyon - The New Economy
A new one from friend of the show Lyon off his new LP Slant Front Desk. Top stuff.

Featured album: Benjamin Mason - Oi! Rapscallion
Final War Of The Inevitable Barbie
A Residue Of The Great Computer Crash
The word 'rapscallion' is grossly underused. Pembroke singer-songwriter Mason has crafted a varied LP with instrumentals sitting alongside folkish post punk, found sounds and dub. Eclectic to say the least, and all good.

Michael Jablonka - Flump
I don't think this is about either the TV show or the marshmallows, but I like it anyway.

Klammer - Modern God
New track from the Leeds post-punkers ahead of their third LP which is due in June.

Fat Cops - Hands Up! Get Down!
Got nothing on these. Bloody marvellous track.

Eva Schlegel - FOH (Fuck Outta Here)
From St Petersburg, and another one from last autumn that I've only become aware of lately. This is off Demontage Of Heck - great title and a superb album.

Orbital - Tiny Foldable Cities
New Orbital! Huzzah! And a new album, Monsters Exist, to follow. What a time it is to be alive.

Sir Robert Orange Peel - Am I Looking Forward To The World Cup? (Put A Bag On Your Head)
There'll be no official World Cup song for England, so I move that this stands in. Absolutely terrific. An unusual take on the genre by the enigmatic producer, as you would expect.
That was fun. Let's do it again some time.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1600622441241343711.post-4196926451346364852018-04-30T21:44:00.001+01:002018-04-30T21:44:50.489+01:0030 April 2018Let's crack straight on

Ye Nuns - Shut Up
I've been aware of these for some time, an all-female tribute to The Monks - the GIs based in Germany who made garage rock back in the early 60s. I don't normally go for tribute acts, but these are exceptional.

Bizarre - Barcode Warrior
Estonian shoegaze, a long-awaited third album made up of tracks recorded in 1997 and '98. Necro is out on June 4.

Kagoule - Bad Saliva
New one from the forthcoming LP Strange Entertainment, their first release for new label Alcopop!

Plaza - In The Know
From Hartlepool, these.

Modern Day Dukes - Tourist
The latest single from the Sheffield/Leeds noisemakers.

The Plainviews - Bladerunner
Featuring two of Idles and one of The St Pierre Snake Invasion, this is terrific. The EP A Million Different Ways Of Saying Nothing was recorded a couple of years ago, but in true DIY fashion, life got in the way and only now have they found time for a release. Worth the wait.

Don Gonzo - Worship The Breeze
Don Gonzo - Quit Ya Job (recorded live at The Parish)
A couple of tracks from our friends Don Gonzo. The former is the new single and they're playing Northern Quarter soon. Check your local listings.

Doe Pickle - Company Man
Also from Huddersfield and also friends of the show, this is off last year's Butty Time EP.

Crooked Teeth - Mountain Song
New single from the electro-poppers from Glasgow but now based in that London.

Ay Wing - Strange
More of that sort of thing by Berlin-based Swede Ay Wing off her forthcoming Ice Cream Dream EP,

Ennor - Wave After Wave
Cornwall folk-rock now.

Those Unfortunates - Hornsey Automatic FC
Following the Two Songs About Buses EP comes Two Songs About Football.

In Her Eye - Closer To Me
From Milan, this is off the album Change out on June 1.

Cup - Magic Planet
Cup is New Yorker Tym Wojcik and this is off the new album Jitter Visions.

I Can, I Can't - Gravity
And finally, a duo from Worcester with a track from the EP Let Me Die which came out 10 days ago.
Week off next week - bank holiday. See you in a fortnight.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1600622441241343711.post-683840461073096722018-04-23T21:11:00.001+01:002018-04-23T21:11:49.553+01:0023 April 2018More new songs for you.

The Left Outsides - All That Remains
A husband and wife duo from London, this is the title track to the new LP out on May 21.

Heart Beach - Perfect
From Hobart but now based in Montreal, this is off Haircut which came out last November.

Soft Science - Sooner
From Sacramento in California, this is off their forthcoming double-A single which is out in May.

MNNQNS - If Only They Could
I presume it's pronounced 'mannequins' but given the Only Connect missing vowels treatment. They're a four-piece from Rouen and this is off the EP Advertisement, out now.

Half Man Half Biscuit - Alehouse Futsal
NEW HMHB KLAXON!!! The new album No-one Cares About Your Artistic Hub So Get Your Fucking Hedge Cut. Out on 18 May, age has not withered them. Indeed, they appear to be as sharply acerbic as ever.

La Luz - California Finally
A four-piece from Seattle, this is off Floating Features which is out on May 11.

Andrew Hung - Say What You Want
The other half of Fuck Buttons to Benjamin John Power who has been recording as Blanck Mass. This is very different to Power's solo work which is more in keeping with the Fuck Buttons ethos. The album is Realisationship which came out last autumn.

Teleman - Submarine Life
New track from the acclaimed and innovative band who continue to push abstract digital pop boundaries.

Poptone - Go!
From LA, formed by ex-Bauhaus members Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins, this is off their self-titled LP which is out in June.

Black Sedan - Love On Love
Heavily sampling the Charlie Chaplin flick The Great Dictator, this is the new single which will appear on the LP Adventure Lit Their Star which is out in June.

Slug - No Heavy Petting
A new one from Ian Black, ex of Fieldmusic. HiggledyPiggledy is the new LP, out a week ago.

Faithful Johannes - Ghosts In My Attic
Half of barely rap duo Outside Your House with his first non-christmas solo work. A two-track collection, Breakfast Included, is out now.

BBXO - Firestorm
Brilliant second track from Berlin-based Londoner Musa Okwonga and producer Krisz Kreuzer.

Jigsaw Sequence - Beyond The Veil
Scotsman Richard Tracey is Jigsaw Sequence and this is his new single.

Rodney Cromwell - Comrades
Lead track from the brilliant new EP Rodney's English Disco. Indietronica, he call it.

Public Service Broadcasting - People Will Always Need Coal (Vessels Remix)
Saturday was record shop day and PSB's contribution was a series of remixes from their Every Valley album. Vessels are a firm house favourite and theirs is undoubtedly the pick of the bunch.

Doc & The Headshrinkers - If There Wasn't Any Sinners, The Saints Wouldn't Look So Good
And ore good old-fashioned rock n roll from West Wales. This came out as a single last summer and features on teh new LP Crashland.

Missile Society - River
Another track from the Watford/New York trans-Atlantic partnership that is Missile Society, taken from the album The Walk Back Home.

The Jjohns - So Alone
You only pronounce one J, I'm told. They're from Liverpool, none of them are called John - or Jjohn - and this is their new single, very much in a La's vein.

John Dredge & The Plinths - Learn To Ignore
Kind of a supergroup, really. This is off the EP The Emergency which came out in January.

Baker Island - Always, 1995
To Newcastle now and a track from the album Restless Legs which came out last summer.

Flies On You - Can You Smell That Burning Noise
But we start on a sad note. I bloody love Flies On You, so it was with tremendous sadness that I read of the death of Andrew Watkins at the age of 50. Along with Doug Aikman, they made some ruddy marvellous music, so by way of tribute here's a track off their second album, etcetera.

Stella Diana - Lurine Rae
Bit of shoegaze from Napoli now from the upcoming sixth studio LP, 57. DIY stuff, this is their second English-language LP.

Cocoa Futures - Sink In The Water
Recorded in the old Granada TV studios in Manchester, Scotsman Greg Sanderson and his band follow up their acclaimed Blue EP with this cracking new single.

The Room In The Wood - Magical Thinking
The title track of the new EP from the Liverpool outfit, out on the 20th.

Featured album: Nervous Twitch - I Won't Hide
Put Me Back Together
Look At You Now
Saw these at Northern Quarter on Saturday and they're chuffing great. Nothing beyond two and a half minutes ("that's prog for us" says lead singer and bassist Erin) for proper punk throwback vibes. I Won't Hide came out late last year on Odd Box. It's terrific. Go buy it.

Wedding - Hands In The Till
From Manchester via Berlin, Wedding are newly signed to Art Is Hard records and this is their first release for them.

Mollusc - Anxiety
So much good stuff coming out of Australia at the moment, and here's another brace. First, a duo from Melbourne with a track from their self-titled debut EP.

The Native Cats - Nixon Nevada
And thence to Hobart and a track from the album John Sharp Toro which came out in February.

The Spook School - I Only Dance When I Want To
Another brilliant track from the outstanding album Could It Be Different?

Featured album: Nervous Twitch - I Won't Hide

Torment Me

She's So Hip

They're from Leeds. They rock. Go seek them out.

Table Scraps - Lyin' Thru Yer Teeth

Trio from Birmingham, this is off the album Autonomy.

Concrete Knives - Gold Digger

From Caen in Normandy, this is from the album Our Hearts which came out in February.

Snapped Ankles - CIA Man (NSA Man Violation)

A reworking of an old Fugs track to reflect the modern threat to your privacy and democracy, the NSA. This came out as a 7" last month.

Giuseppe Leonardi - Jack Of All Trades

The title track of the Balearic styled EP from the young Viennese producer.

The Micronaut - Earlylate

Stefan Streck of Leipzig is The Micronaut and this is off the brilliant EP Contrast. Came out in February.

Christian Fitness - Kill The Bored
New one from Andy Falkous's side-project. New album imminent.

Straight Arrows - Out And Down
From Sydney, this came out early in February on a double-A single with Franchisee on the flip.

Mr Shiraz - Step Up
Noisy herberts from Huddersfield with a track off last year's EP Mountains Of Kong.

Teen Creeps - Sidenote
Noisy Ghent herberts with a track from the new album Birthmarks.

Actors - L'Appel Du Vide
'The call of the void' to you. These herberts are from Vancouver and this is the lead track off the album It Will Come To You which is out now.
Air Formation - A.M.
Shoegazey krautrock from Bristol off the EP Near Miss which came out at the start of March.

Mansion Of Snakes - Mating Season
A new one via Come Play With Me, the Leeds label doing so much good work in the area. MoS are from Leeds. Avant-jazz they call it. There aren't many labels would put something like this out. More power to them for it.

Philippe Petit & Friends - Black Dog
I don't really know what I think about this, but it is certainly different. Frenchman Petit seems to be based in Japan nowadays and this is off the second LP in this guise, On Top, which is out in May.

Cup - Cosmic Brain
And on the same Aagoo label as Petit comes this from New York City artist Tim Wojcik, aka CUP. Taken from the the album Jittervisions.

Brijs - Jasmine
A cover of a Jai Paul demo by London artist Brijs.

Spray - Anthologised By Cherry Red
Due out in May, this is the new single from Ricardo Autobahn and Jenny McLaren of The Cuban Boys. Very clever and knowing.

Laurence Made Me Cry - The Sickness
Jo Whitby is LMMC and this track, out last Friday, is a musical expression of her recent strugles with mental health. It's also bloody gorgeous.

Cobby & Litten - Live Above Lightening
The Hull super-producer and poet from the same city combine once more on the new album £ Shop Communism. No previews. Just pay your 99p.

Night Giants - Here For Me
And finally, northern club smashers with a new cut.
Not in next week - family up. See you in a fortnight.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1600622441241343711.post-46610010956445214782018-01-29T21:11:00.000+00:002018-01-29T21:11:19.498+00:0029 January 2018Notebooks out, plagiarists.

The Fall - Bury parts 1 & 3
The Fall - Leave The Capitol
I first heard The Fall in 1991, one of their many sessions for the John Peel show. It was like nothing else. Near enough 30 years later, there is still nothing else that sounds like them. 66 musicians may have come and gone and yet they always retained that one thing - Mark E Smith. Now he too has gone and the prospect of never having another Fall album stretches out in front of us. But then there are 31 studio albums and however many live ones to go at.
Always different, always the same. Never boring.

Favx - Vanilla
Madrid trio Nico, Daniel and Carlos with a track from the new EP Welfare which came out on the 12th.

The Lovely Eggs - Wiggy Giggy
Always a pleasure to hear the Lovely Eggs, Lancaster's finest husband and wife psych-rock duo. This is the first single taken from the new album This Is Eggland. That's out on February 23.

Bearfoot Beware - Point Scorer
From Leeds, this is off their forthcoming second album, Sea Magnolia, which will be with us on March 16.

Death Pedals - Endless Terrain
At the end of last year, the members of London noise rockers Death Pedals knew the writing was on the wall. Hence, the new album, self-titled, will be their third and last. And it's a shame as it's really good. The members of the band also appear with USA Nails, Biglad and Dead Arms, so if this is your bag, go there.

Haunch - Twitching
A debut album from Northern Ireland, as recommended by Therapy? which is always a badge of honour. Lay My Bones Beside The Others is out now.

The Surfing Magazines - New Day
Bit late to this, given half of these are Dave and Franic of The Wave Pictures, long time favourites of this parish, and half of Slow Club. Given those ingredients it ought to work. And it does. The self- titled album came out in September.

Birds & Beasts - The Current
Here's a good one. Local outfit fronted by the prolific Leo Brazil whose USP is that all their songs are about animals. This one is about and their use of electrical signals to communicate. This is out on March 9.

Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever - Mainland
Five-piece from Melbourne with a track from the EP The French Press, their first for Sub Pop, which came out last week.

Andy K Leland - Mr Panic
The excuse for playing this is a new video has been released for this track which is off the EP Happy Daze which came out last September. Lo-fi stuff from Andrea Marcellini.

Samh - Completely Normal Things
A new track from Huddersfield's Sam Hodgson and band off the EP Wood On Rain (An Ecology Of Rain, Part 1) which came out in December. Part 1, that is, "of a string of creative projects about taste, identity, the universe, Yorkshire and rain."

Alone - New Adventures In Colour
New electronica on a variety of bits of machines and unashamedly 8-bit. Glorious.

The Fall - Container Drivers
The Fall - Hit The North
It's one of them things where I feel a bit envious of people who are just discovering this stuff for themselves because I know what's in store and want to do that again. There will be other bands, of course, but never anything like The Fall and Mark E Smith.
And hopefully next January, we can go without one of my music heroes dying. All the best, Julian Cope and Nigel Blackwell.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1600622441241343711.post-80667409929430062432018-01-22T21:25:00.001+00:002018-01-22T21:25:10.586+00:0022 January 2018Another week, so let's get it started the right way.

Eels - The Deconstruction
The title track to the new album which comes out on April 6.

Yasuaki Shimizu - Suiren
Released in 1982, the album Kakashi has had a reissue on Palto Flats records.

Ought - Disgraced In America
Another track from the highly anticipated forthcoming album Room Inside The World.

The DB3 - Devil's Driver
A garage rock/surf guitar trio from Portsmouth, this is off the LP Thee DB3 which has very much a motoring theme running through it..

Vile Assembly - Suicide Feast
Overtly political punk from Liverpool off the album Fattened By The Horrors Of War which came out at the back end of last year.

The Spook School - Body
Another track from the album Could It Be Different? which is out on Friday.

King Woman - I Wanna Be Adored
A new single from San Francisco's King Woman, originally the solo project of singer Kristina Esfandiari which morphed to encompass the whole band. The album Created in The Image Of Suffering is out now.

Xylaroo - I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor
Another quirky cover, this is the B side to the debut single Sunshine from London-based sisters Holly and Coco Chant.

Tigercub - Faking Laughter
A track from the EP Evolve Or Die which was launched alongside a signature craft beer, Safemode.

From - Bellandonna
Taken from the album Y.O.U which came out on the 12th but was recorded way back in the late 1990s/early 2000s. Trevor Jackson and his alter-ego Underdog are responsible.

Nova Flares - Gut Splinter
From Kentucky, this slice of instrumentalism is off the EP Nova Flares which is out on March 9.

Nathan Fake - Sunder
The title track to the new album which is out on February 23.

Daniel Avery - Slow Fade
And another title track to something new, this time out on April 6.

Jay Glass Dubs vs Guerilla Toss - Skull Dub
And finally, a brilliant bit of Greek dub from last autumn. Guerilla Toss are a New York-based post-punk outfit while Athenian producer Dimitris Papadatos goes by the moniker Jay Glass Dubs. Absolutely fantastic, the EP is titled Jay Glass Dubs vs Guerilla Toss.

Dream Wife - Hey Heartbreaker
From London via Iceland, this is off their self-titled debut EP.

Phobophobes - Miniature World
The title track from the highly anticipated debut album from the South Londoners.

The Autumn Stones - Time Is A River
These are from Toronto and as they head into the studio to work on album number three, here's a track from their last one, 2015's Escapists.

Dreamherbs - Break Your Jaw
The first of four singles that they'll release this month. A veritable sonic punch to the face.

Halo Maud - Baptism
A French curio, which you can find on the ever-reliable Heavenly label.

Samh - Just Like Me & You They Don't Know What They're Doing
Local chap Sam Hodgson with his band's new single from last Friday. He's also put out a pay-what-you-like download on his bandcamp of some other new songs.

Happy Accidents - Text Me When You're Home
The new single, from the album Everything But The Here And Now which is due out on February 16.

Candy Opera - What A Way To Travel
From Liverpool, taken from the LP 45 Revolutions Per Minute. Which I presume will play at 33 and a third.

Kosmonaut - Debbie Harry's Smile (California On Fire mix)
Kosmonaut have split up, which is a bit sad, but they leave us with this reworking of their single by The Luxembourg Signal.

Spray - The Magic 8-Ball Lies
Ricardo Autobahn and Jen McLaren of The Cuban Boys with a track from their side-project. Enforced Fun came out in 2016, but new stuff is due imminently.

Otis Mensah - Oh Jane
A couple of wonderfully lyrical tracks from the rap singers now, starting with this which was produced by Berliner intern.

TrueMendous - Childish Behaviour ft Janel Antoneshia
A staggering vocal feat from the LP PS This Is Your Mother Calling.

The Major - Tears In Rain
Another side-project, this time from Jim Burke, aka Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer. The album is A.D.S.R. Soul.
A first release in 17 years from the electronica guru and former Throbbing Gristle man. The album is Chemistry Lessons volume 1.

The Night Programme - Muzak Replete
And finally, old friend Paul Foster with a track from his new release Programme 2. Nice call-back to the last New Order album as well. Top stuff as ever.
